VA2 model is not compatible. Mating GDEMU with VA0 model mainboard is possible but will cause permanent damage to the device. 2. The firmware cannot be updated,  in any case it is not necessary to update the unit since it already has the latest firmware installed.3. Make sure the now unscrewed upper cover does not fall down. This project was meant to provide a “once and for all” solution, since it doesn’t have any moving parts.The new gdemu optical drive simulation board, get rid of the optical drive sawing sound, and read faster.
